About the brand

Roaming Bones is an alternative, outdoor-inspired brand making gender-neutral apparel for the outsiders — the ones who never fit the classic “technical hiker” mold and never wanted to anyway.

We started Roaming Bones because every outdoor aesthetic looked the same, and nothing out there matched both our alt style and our love for nature — so we brought alternative designs to the trails ourselves. We create bold, comfortable apparel for anyone who’s ever felt out of place outside and just wants to feel wild and free on their own terms.
Truth is, nature doesn’t care about your gear, your pace, or your body shape — and neither do we.

We handprint everything in our forest workshop near Montreal, use sustainable materials, and plant a tree for every tee or hoodie you take home — because taking care of the wild matters just as much as exploring it. Our goal? To break down the gatekeeping, make the outdoors more inclusive, and give you gear that makes you feel like yourself out there.

Welcome to the wild — exactly as you are.

Who I am

Roaming Bones was born from one stubborn punk who never grew out of climbing trees or daydreaming about the next trip. I’m Goby — a plants based queer living in the forest and the wildchild behind this brand. I grew up bouncing between punk shows, wandering the back alleys of Montreal and crafting DIY patches for my friends. I never fit the “outdoor athlete” mold, but I loved being outside anyway.

Eventually, my partner Heylie and I settled in the woods outside the city and turned a tiny shack in our yard into the workshop where every Roaming Bones pieces are still handprinted today. This brand isn’t about me — it’s about creating a safe space for everyone who’s ever felt too weird, too loud, too queer, too punk for the outdoor mold.

I’m just the person who kicked things off — but you’re the reason it exists!
